At Mick Elysee, we believe that all good things in life revolve around food. We love cooking it, eating it, growing it, and talking about it. And while most culinary delights tickle our taste buds, one area in particular that we’re highly passionate about is French cuisine.

My love for French food developed quite early on in my life. When I was around 8 years old, my parents took me to Paris for a family trip. It was the first time I’d ever been outside the US, and I was in awe.

Walking around the boutique patisseries and restaurants, smelling all the freshly baked croissants, crepes, and other French delights, I was in heaven. And from the moment we sat down and had our first French meal as a family, tucking into the most delicious bouillabaisse I have ever had, I was hooked.

For the rest of the trip, I spent my time trying as many different French foods as I possibly could. I probably tried it over those next few days. And anything I couldn’t, I put on my bucket list. One day, I actually completed that list.

As the years passed, I met others who were equally fascinated by French cuisine. We would meet up and cook for each other and spend hours trading recipes and top tips. Finally, rather than simply get together and talk about this passion as a small group, we decided to do something on a much wider scale and share our thoughts with the world.
